And the winner is....

Jimmy Choo, along with The Elton John Aids Foundation, recently awarded the winner of their You, Your Shoes and 72 photography competition.

The winner? Alexandra Burger submitted the photo on the left, gaining her the crown for her originality and ability to convey the message of Project Pep.

Project Pep is a Jimmy Choo shoe collection featuring unique, collectible, punk rock prints. The designer label is donating 25 per cent of the sales from this collection to the Simelela Rape Centre in South Africa, a country with shockingly high incidences of rape. "It is estimated that a woman is raped every 26 seconds" in South Africa.

The Centre provides medical treatment, counseling and Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP), which can reduce the risks of contracting HIV.

Alexandra received seven pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes and two handbags for her winning photo.

Some of my favourites from the competition are featured below. Browse all the unique and creative submissions here.
