The birth of street style photography.

"I'm not interested in celebrities with their free dresses. I'm interested in clothes."
- Bill Cunningham.

Today's bloggers owe a lot to Bill Cunningham. And he's finally getting the credit he deserves in a new documentary from Zeitgeist Films.

Cunningham is the original captor of street style, working as a fashion photographer for the New York Times since 1978. Waaay before The Sartorialist ever existed, Bill was on the sidewalks of Manhattan snapping impromptu shots of the city's most fashionable as they went about their days.

Set to open in April 2011. I'm choosing my outfit right now.
