Interview with Pop Darling, Eliza Doolittle.

Blend two parts Lily Allen with a splash of Amy Winehouse. Add denim short-shorts and neon coloured high tops. Serve warm, like sunshine. You've got 22 year-old, pop sweetheart, Eliza Doolittle.

Not only does the Brit have vocal chords capable of charming the knickers off you, the London born songstress has got some serious fashion sense. She rocks the most playful ensembles with a feminine-I-don't-take-myself-too-seriously-let's-just-have-fun attitude with t-shirt dresses, multi-coloured tights, rompers and fringe to the moon.

AND, she has her own blog with adorable posts like "Bart Simpson is 32 years old!". Love her!

I got the chance to interview the fashionable little pop darling and learn a little more.

You OWN the short-shorts look. When I think of Eliza Doolittle, I think of short-shorts. How did this become your signature look?
I'm not sure really, I just started wearing them a lot and it felt like me!

Your favourite place to shop?
I love a good vintage shop, but I'm a bit impatient so I get bored rummaging through every rail, I love boutiques best me thinks. You get your favourite ones after exploring.

How important do you think personal style is in the music industry?
I think music and fashion go hand in hand, and it's always good fun to play around with outfits, but it's not the be all or end all, music is always the most important thing to me.

If you weren’t making music, you would be______.
Probably still making music, but maybe really broke somewhere singing in a pub...I'm just no good at anything else.

Word on the street is you just signed with Select Models! Did you ever think you would become a model?
No ! I still don't feel I look like a model. Music will always be my priority but modelling is a great way to raise my profile through other channels.

Any cool modeling gigs coming up that we should watch out for?

Music you’re currently grooving on?
I'm loving Adele, Plan B, Tinie Tempah, and Cee Lo Green at the moment. And getting into older music that I'm only just discovering, Elton John, Doobie Brothers, The Knack...

Best piece of fashion advice?
Wear what makes you happy and feel like yourself. Whether it's a pair of jeans or a pineapple on your head!
